We have an exciting opportunity for an Electronic Engineering Technologist (EET) to join our team in our Dieppe, NB office. Pursue a career in a professional work environment and culture by working collaboratively with other design and Engineering professionals on challenging and exciting projects, existing product support, and research and development of new gaming and printing technologies. The EET will work with a group of developers, technologists, and engineers within our R&D team. Under the supervision of the Director of Electronic Engineering, the EET will be responsible for assisting with the drawing of electrical circuits and systems, harnesses as well as prepare prototypes for testing and product development projects. Additionally, a portion of the EETs responsibilities will be to support the manufacturing plant in analyzing, trouble shooting, and repairing PCB failures and report findings to Production and Operations Managers.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design and modelling of projects using Altium;
  • Prepare and maintain component libraries;
  • Prepare layouts of electronic circuits and systems for designs;
  • Prepare and conduct pre-certification testing for functionality, immunity, safety, emission, etc…
  • Responsible for the assembly of Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs), harnesses, etc… for testing and product development;
  • Perform tests to validate required functionality and troubleshoot field issues;
  • Assist with repair and service/support of in-warranty and out of warranty products;
  • Assist production team when required to fulfill customer orders;
  • Troubleshoot production PCBs, troubleshoot and repair non-conforming products, and;
  • Assist with analysis and the preparation of various reports;

Your Capabilities and Credentials:

  • College diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology;
  • Be a motivated self-starter;
  • Although not mandatory, registered, or having the ability to register as a Technologist in NB is considered an asset;
  • Experience in low voltage electrical and electronic circuits, soldering & repairing board-level & fine pitch components on PCBs is considered an asset;
  • Good knowledge of MS Office products (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, etc…) is required for this position. Proficiency with Excel is considered an asset, preference will be given to candidates that can demonstrate this ability, please confirm in your application;
  • Strong analytical skills, using data to determine trends and clear communication are considered strong assets for this position;
  • Preference will be given to bilingual candidates (official languages of NB – French and English);
  • Experience with ALTIUM or other electronic CAD design software is also considered and asset, and;
  • Must be legally able to work in Canada.
